I really liked the book the Hobbit
because of the idea of fantastical little creatures and their struggle with
a dragon and lots of gold. The Hobbit is a good book for children.
It demonstrates the difference between
good and evil and there is plenty of adventure and fantasy to keep the child
interested.
The vocabulary is low enough that most
children could read it. I would recommend this book for fifth grade and up.
